Greetings!                                                                                                                                                                                                 My name is Ekaterina Kharina.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             "If one day a Central Asian Shepherd dog will appear in your house, you will stay with it  forever."                                 *************************************                                          And that exact thing happened to me.  A long time ago when I lived in a city of Khabarovsk (this was in 2001-2002 year) we moved to a new house. Our neighbors had two big dogs.  Their powerful build and strong chest instantly caught my attention.  Back then, I didn't even know the name of the breed. We already owned two dogs, but they were only German Shepard half-breeds. Later, another Central Asian dog appeared on our street.  Her name was Zaya, and I got to know her owner.  She told me about the dog, And I fell in love with it.   So, in the year of 2003 I bought my first CAS dog, and was very happy.  Still, I knew very little about the breed, their character and behavior. I called him Amir, which when translated means "Ruler". The breed wasn't  popular in our town back then.  In Russia, most commonly people use big dogs for guarding duty, so they could protect the house from thieves.  Yes, yes, just like that. Amir was a really skilled guardian, but for me he was more than that. His character surprised me as he was very calm, confident and affectionate. This wasn't a dog with energetic and jumpy behavior. Later, I joined a dog club and talked to main person there.  She told it would be wise for me to fly to Moscow and get a first class, best of the best, pure blood dog from Gray Vest kennel. At the time, I was so obsessed with the breed that I did just that without giving it a second thought. So we came to Moscow.  When we visited the kennel, I liked the red female there, and as we were about to leave, the owner offered us to take a look at another dog. It was a year old female.  Bringing two dogs with us wasn't in our plan, but in the end, we arrived home with Gray Vest Nadyusha and Tochka Pretezhenya Bimarzhan. That's how my career and hobby in taking care of, breeding and going to dog shows with CAS dogs.
In 2013 I immigrated to USA, Oregon. At that moment I didn't own any dogs.  I didn't think I would be doing anything with CASD again, but fate decided otherwise. In 2016 I bought my first CASD from USA : a female named Kuvvat. Then I bought two more, a female Changa (Kyrgyzstan) and Lazzat (USA).
